I've unfortunately allowed myself to become scarce around my blog. Following real life situations and issues, I thought it would be best if I took a writing hiatus. There were so many posts that I really wanted to make here, so this will be a good way of making a comeback. Although not too many posts were created here to begin with, it seemed necessary.
For anyone who is interested, here are posts that will be coming up:
-- Influentser Sweetheart VoxBox Introductory Post
-- ^ Reviews for each product - there are four
-- Julep "Charlotte" Review
-- Julep Quick Dry Polish Drops Review
-- Bath & Body Works Soap Review
Aiming to share my thoughts on a blog. When I was a kid, we had diaries. Instead, people keep blogs. I guess that's an internet diary, huh? Expect nail polish reviews, comments on my favorite show - The Vampire Diaries, and randomness.

Review of Julep's "Jane"
What I hate more than anything is when you want to love a product, but you just can't. That's what's happening to me with "Jane" by Julep. I was so excited to try my first rose gold polish, but I'm finding myself severely disappointed. Sophia Bush, whose style I adore, has been rocking quite a few rose gold accessories. Because of this, I thought she'd love this, but now I'm second guessing that.
In my personal opinion, despite the gorgeous accents in the polish, it appears to be more of a copper gold rather than rose gold.

There are just so many thoughts that I have about this polish. Attempting to cut everything down could be difficult, but I'm still going to attempt it.
Jane Park, who is the founder of Julep, finally put her name on something and because she liked it so much, I thought I would have liked it as well. At first, it seemed like it was going to apply beautifully. Again, another disappointment. Unlike most glitter polishes (which I love) it applied very roughly. It refused to coat all of my nail which is why there are some missing pieces.

February Maven Add Ons: Oxygen Nail Treatment Review
This review is one I was planning on doing a few days ago but decided to take a little break from blogging after I did a whole slew of posts a few days ago. The product I'll be reviewing today is one that is talked about quite often and is relatively new. It's the Oxygen Nail Treatment by Julep. This product is $18 normally, but if you're a Maven, you can get it for $14.40.
As you can tell, it's a sheer, barely there pink. The coloring depends on how thick your coat is. In all honesty, a thick coat isn't necessary. Just apply like you're adding nail polish and you're good to go. One coat makes it look like clear nail polish, while two coats makes it a sheer pink. In my opinion, after a couple of coats it resembles Ava by Julep.
My initial interpretation was that this product could double as a base coat if you wanted to paint your nails. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Your nails are supposed to remain clean (like pictured above) during the duration of this product being on your nails. The reason for that is it, in a way, makes the product work better. Your nails become more oxygenated when they're clean and more-or-less unpolished.

Julep Cupid's Box Information
When deals like this come around, I can't stop myself from sharing with anyone and everyone who will listen to me! Yesterday, Julep released a Cupid's Box with a Valentine's Day theme! Their first mystery box I received, which was the New Year's Box, definitely didn't disappoint. Something tells me there is no way this one will disappoint me either!
If you're interested in getting your own, just click here!
An email just flew into my inbox with more information on what the box will contain. That can be located after the jump and made the box more intriguing! I might have to buy a second one due to how great it sounds! 4 colors and maybe more for just $20?! That's a great deal!

Julep Tips: Becoming A Maven
I created a post about my thoughts on becoming a Julep Maven. Within that, I showed pictures of the contents of my Maven "Classic With A Twist" Intro Box.
One thing I did miss, however, is telling you all how to become a Maven. Several people have no idea how to go about this. The process itself is quite simple if you know what to look for!
First of all, you need to go to their website. Without that, you'll never be able to join their amazing program! Anyone who is considering it, should definitely join!
Once there, this link, will help you create an account, which you need to do. If you could please use referral number, 7237538, it would be greatly appreciated! When you purchase your first official Maven box, I'll have the opportunity to receive some rewards, which you'll learn about in another post.

Out Of The Maven Box: Joan and Rebel by Julep
This review is going to be far more loaded than I originally expected. With trying three different polishes, I had the opportunity to kill three birds with one stone. And yes, I did modify that classic saying to fit my situation. Julep polishes have become my favorites in a short period of time.
Side note: The entire company, including customer service, is wonderful. They're so gracious to all customers. One very lucky woman received Christian Louboutin's. I feel so blessed to be a member of a brand that treats their customers so well.
And now we can return to our regularly scheduled program.
I decided to try Joan, Rebel, and the Freedom Top Coat all in one shot. Rebel was the color I was the most excited for. The two colors, I knew, would look absolutely gorgeous together. Less than twelve hours than having the box, the colors were on.
Here is a shot of the full look. After the jump you can locate the actual reviews.

Receiving The February Julep Maven Box
As written in a previous post, I became a Julep Maven. Not too long ago I wrote a post about my new status and the introductory box I received. If you haven't seen the post yet, feel free to check it out here. The program is something I would easily recommend to anyone and everyone who is considering joining up. Committing to anything like this can make someone a little nervous, but there's nothing to worry about. You can cancel your membership if you're not pleased, and you can opt to skip months.
Originally, I decided to get the "Classic With A Twist" box, but after seeing the colors in the February box, I knew I needed to switch to "It Girl". Something tells me that I'll be changing my mind month-to-month depending on the colors chosen for each box. The colors "Rebel", "Marion", and "Joan" were included in this one. Rebel was the most exciting for me because I love, love the actress/comedian it was named after, who is Rebel Wilson.
After the jump are the colors and more information about the box!
Here are pictures directly from the site of the three colors I received:

Thoughts On Becoming A Maven + Unboxing A ‘Julep Maven’ Intro Box
For a little over a month, I’ve been a very happy customer of Julep. Their polishes are so well pigmented, don’t have a nasty smell, and go on flawlessly. Because of this brand, I have a newly discovered obsession for polishes and almost always having my nails done.
I finally decided to take the leap and became a Julep Maven recently. Their customer service was so accommodating – I was shocked! Most people from customer service, not including Julep, are so rude and act as if you’re disturbing their life by asking them a question. CS for them is full of gracious, very kind people. I’ve never felt so comfortable emailing before.
What I really, really wanted was their February Maven Box. I was late to becoming a Maven, but even so, they added me to their list for a box. All the colors, especially Rebel, was insanely beautiful and I knew I needed to have them. Joining a program like that is scary enough due to the commitment, but I did it with ease thanks to how clearly it’s explained on the site.

Inside The "Julep" Drawer
January 25, 2013
Yes, you heard right, I have something called a “Julep Drawer”. Basically, it’s a drawer in my jewelry box that holds all of my Julep products. One of the products I have is too big, so it stays on top of the box with some of my miscellaneous products. At the moment, there are mostly Bath & Body Works products on top of it.
Below are some of the contents of the drawer. I received my “Classic With A Twist” Intro Box today from Julep, so there are some products which will be named even though they haven’t been officially placed inside. There will be a post about opening the box following this one!

"Lynn" By Julep Polish Review
January 25, 2013
On Christmas, which was a month ago today, I received an abundance of Julep products. My mother was kind enough to purchase a few of the items from my wishlist. One of those just happened to be the “Julep Darlings” collection. Polishes included in that collection are; “Vanessa“, “Lynn“, and “Sandra.” I haven’t tried Sandra yet, but the other two colors are gorgeous.
At the moment I’m wearing Lynn, which is absolutely stunning. Their swatches on the website – and my photo located below – don’t do the polish justice. It went on silky smooth and dried a vibrant, peachy color. There is the most subtle hint of glitter. In my opinion, it’s probably the kind of glitter you can see in extremely bright light. I had to use the flashlight from my iPhone 5 to see it.
Their website describes the color as “nude, blush pearl.” This definitely is a nude color, but does have some distinct peachy tones as well. As you can tell, it does reflect ‘blush pearl’ as stated in the description. For those that have tried this amazing color, how would you describe it?

Purpose Of This Blog
January 23, 2013
For some time I’ve been toying with the idea of creating my own blog. Quite a few people I follow on either Twitter, Facebook, or even Tumblr have their own. Tumblr has been my save haven for three years and now it’s time to branch out. What I’m currently aiming for is a blog of disorganized bliss. One thing I’ve always prided myself on is how random I can be. Sometimes the quality isn’t the best, but our quirks are what make us an individual. In a world full of everyone trying to blend in, I’ve learned sometimes it’s best if you just try to embrace your flaws and become your own person.
