As you can tell, it's a sheer, barely there pink. The coloring depends on how thick your coat is. In all honesty, a thick coat isn't necessary. Just apply like you're adding nail polish and you're good to go. One coat makes it look like clear nail polish, while two coats makes it a sheer pink. In my opinion, after a couple of coats it resembles Ava by Julep.
My initial interpretation was that this product could double as a base coat if you wanted to paint your nails. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Your nails are supposed to remain clean (like pictured above) during the duration of this product being on your nails. The reason for that is it, in a way, makes the product work better. Your nails become more oxygenated when they're clean and more-or-less unpolished.
So as much as we ladies hate having our nails colorless, it'll help you in the long run, trust me.
The product is supposed to prevent breakage and peeling of the nails. I can say that it definitely does! My nails haven't broken at all since I put it on. They also feel stronger, especially my longest nails. Water isn't supposed to really penetrate the polish and it doesn't. Not even my cuticle oil seemed to be really working when I tried to use it.
One thing I will say is that I suggest painting on just one coat. I tried to do two coats to get more of a pink color, just to see how it would look and the polish sort of gelled together. It was taking much longer to dry, even when I used quick dry polish drops. When I ran my fingers across to see if the polish dried, it smeared and I had to redo it anyway. Save yourself the trouble and polish and just do it with one coat!
The product is just as effective with one coat and looks just like clear polish, so you really don't need two coats!
All in all, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried it yet. You won't be disappointed in the least! Just try to paint it evenly and you'll be good to go!
